The ZO Daily GSR® + Skin Barrier Defense Program is a four-step facial skincare routine for daily cleansing, gentle renewal and skin barrier support. Gentle Cleanser, Exfoliating Polish, Complexion Renewal Pads and Daily Power Defense optimally prepare the skin for subsequent skincare – for a fresher, smoother and more even-looking complexion.
The routine combines the three steps of the ZO Getting Skin Ready® concept – cleansing, exfoliating and toning – with Daily Power Defense, a serum that supports the skin barrier. The program is particularly suitable if you are looking for a structured basic routine to care for your skin, support its hydration and counteract early signs of skin aging.

Active ingredients & products
Gentle Cleanser – gentle cleansing
Gentle Cleanser removes everyday impurities and excess skin oil and prepares the skin for the subsequent skincare steps. The gentle formula supports a clean, fresh skin feel without unnecessarily stressing the skin.
Exfoliating Polish – magnesium oxide & vitamin C
The mechanical exfoliant contains fine magnesium oxide crystals that gently massage away dead skin cells and make the skin surface appear smoother. Vitamin C complements the formula with antioxidant properties and supports a fresh-looking complexion.
Complexion Renewal Pads – salicylic acid & glycolic acid
The pre-soaked pads complement the routine with exfoliating ingredients. Salicylic acid helps cleanse pores, while glycolic acid promotes the removal of dead skin cells from the skin surface – for a smoother and more even-looking complexion.
Daily Power Defense – vitamin A, vitamin E & beta-glucan
Daily Power Defense contains retinyl palmitate, a vitamin A derivative, as well as tocopherol and tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E). These ingredients complement the skincare with antioxidant properties. Beta-glucan and glycerin support hydration and a supple skin feel.

Application
Step 1 – Cleansing: Gentle Cleanser, morning and evening
Dampen the face and neck with lukewarm water, gently massage in a small amount of Gentle Cleanser and rinse thoroughly.
Step 2 – Exfoliating: Exfoliating Polish, about two to three times a week or according to tolerance
Apply a small amount to damp skin and massage in with gentle, circular motions. Rinse thoroughly. Adjust the frequency to your skin's needs.
Step 3 – Toning: Complexion Renewal Pads, morning and evening
Gently swipe a pad over the cleansed skin. Avoid the eye area and follow the directions on the packaging.
Step 4 – Supporting the skin barrier: Daily Power Defense, morning and evening
Apply the serum to the cleansed skin according to the product instructions and distribute gently.
Important: Complement your morning routine daily with a suitable broad-spectrum sunscreen. This is not included in the set. The pads contain exfoliating acids and may cause irritation in sensitive skin. Introduce the products into your routine gradually and reduce usage in case of redness, stinging or persistent dryness.
