Application

If you haven't used retinol before, start with a gradual application. Apply the product to clean, dry skin twice a week after cleansing. Then increase the application frequency to every other day. If your skin tolerates it, increase to daily.

Note: Redness, flaking, dryness, burning, or stinging are normal and expected reactions when using retinol. With regular use, skin will adapt and appear smoother, more even, and more youthful. Combine retinol with a ZO® functional moisturizer to minimize these reactions. Like prescription retinoic acid, retinol makes skin more sensitive to sunlight. Use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher daily.
